I'll give you a quick rundown of what has to be done to resurface concrete. After that, we'll discuss some of your options for that procedure.
· As directed by the manufacturer, mix your polymer.
· Add the overlay material and stir with the mixing paddle and drill.
· The colourant until you reach the desired consistency.
The colourant may need to be added before the overlay material, depending on the manufacturer's specifications. Make sure you adhere to the directions in light of the supplies at hand.
To the substrate, apply the mixture. Squeegee or trowel the mixture.
Spray Down, Broom, Knockdown, or In order to achieve the finish you want, stamp your finish. Follow the steps in accordance with that finish because there are different steps that apply to each one. For places with lots of traction, use a broom finish. The main difference between knockdown and spray down is how they are applied. Smooth surfaces and when you want to create a design are best served by knockdown and spray down. Stamps are used for textured finishes to create the desired design effect.
After finishing your surface, apply sealant in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. This is challenging since it takes a long time for the sealant to dry once the overlay has dried. It would take a few days without rain for the exterior surfaces. It would take a few days for interior surfaces to be traffic-free. So, make sure you have solid plans in place to prevent any setbacks to your project.
Resurfacing Techniques
There are various ways to resurface a concrete surface. A brick pattern can have stone patterns inserted in between the bricks. An aged marble design can have border patterns stamped around it. With a little imagination, you can take this practically anyplace.
